Issue will be solved in a software update.

Apple had introduced the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models during the Wonderlust event earlier this month. The high-end smartphones came with a new titanium build and the A 17 Pro chipsets compared to A 16 chips on the base models.

Nonetheless, a lot of consumers had expressed concern about the iPhone 15 Pro models' overheating issues. Some others even claimed that the new iPhone had gotten too hot to hold.

According to Apple, the new devices may feel warmer a few days after setting up or restoring due to the higher background activity. Apple has acknowledged the heating issues with the iPhone 15 Pro series.

In a statement about the heating issues on iPhone 15 Pro models, Apple told Forbes, “We have identified a few conditions which can cause iPhone to run warmer than expected. The device may feel warmer during the first few days after setting up or restoring the device because of increased background activity."

Apple has also attributed the heating concerns with the new iPhones to third-party applications including Instagram, Uber, and Asphalt 9. According to the Forbes article, Instagram sent an update on September 27 to address the heating problem, and Apple is also coordinating with other app developers.

“We have also found a bug in iOS 17 that is impacting some users and will be addressed in a software update. Another issue involves some recent updates to third-party apps that are causing them to overload the system. We’re working with these app developers on fixes that are in the process of rolling out." Apple added.
